National Service Scheme (N.S.S.) is a social service scheme for undergraduate students sponsored by the ministry of Human Resources Development of Youth Affairs and Sports Govt. of India. The scheme was introduced on 24th sep 1969, during the Gandhi Centenary year. The Motto of NSS is “Not Me But You”. The overall objective of N.S.S. is, “ Development of Personality Through Community Service “ . Every Year 24th September is celebrated as N.S.S. day.
